MYSI, a premier child welfare agency, has the following position(s) available for the Transitional Living Program (TLP). We are seeking qualified and motivated individuals with a desire to care for youth. The ideal candidate will be working with "at risk" youth in a residential TLP. Candidates with experience working in facilities serving "at risk" youth are strongly preferred. Bi-lingual is a plus.
Internship
MYSI, Corporation- is a not for profit Human Services organization. MYSI is licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as a child welfare agency. MYSI has received the Association's EAGEL designation as an organization that meets the highest governance standards. MYSI is also accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). Joint accreditations attest that MYSI provides programs and services that meet the community needs.
MYSI is looking for someone who can provide clerical and administrative support to MYSI program supervisors in order to ensure that services are provided in an efficient manner. If you are self- directed, self- motivated and a people person we are looking for you. You must be able to commit to work Monday- Friday from 9am to 5pm. A car is preferred by not required. Administrative experience is desired.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong computer, communication, written and verbal skills. The ideal candidate will maintain a serene, courteous and professional temperament at all times.
This position reports up to the Finance Manager or Designee.
Child Welfare Community Outreach Coordinator
MYSI is a non-for-profit organization. If you are a self starter and love youth and seniors we are looking for you. The desired candidate must demonstrate strong communication, written and verbal skills, bilingual and public speaking experience is a plus. We are seeking a qualified individual with a Bachelor's Degree in education, community counseling, social work or a related field and/or experience within a human service environment.
This position reports up to the President & CEO or designee.
Residential Advisor
Full-time, Part-time, Weekend & On-call
Positions are available for individuals experienced in assisting youth with building life skills and developing recreational programs and activities. Candidates must be experienced working with "at risk" youth and must be able to set boundaries and disipline when necessary.
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. At least two years of direct experience in a child welfare residential environment. A vaild driver's license and car insurance is required. Must satisfactorily pass an IDCFS background clearence and meet transportation requirements.
