Programs & Services
MYS is a non-profit, non-sectarian child welfare agency that serves otherwise homeless abused and neglected or delinquent youth under the direction of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or the Department of Corrections. We also serve at risk youth in the general population by providing services to schools or via specialized programming specifically tailored to meet the needs of a community.
Methodist Youth Services, Inc. is licensed by the State of Illinois and Certified as a provider of Medicaid eligible services. With the guidance of the United Methodist Health and Welfare Ministries of the Northern Illinois Conference, the agency provides clinical and case management services to “at risk” youth and families in each of its programs.
MYS currently offers shelter care for boys, independent living services for young men and women transitioning from foster care, transitional living housing for young adult males, and community outreach services to schools.
