Programs & Services

MYSI is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian child welfare agency that serves homeless, abused, neglected or delinquent youth under the guardianship of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services or the Department of Corrections. We also serve "at risk" youth in the general population by providing Aftercare Educational Workshops to schools or via specialized programming specifically tailored to meet the needs of a community.

MYSI is licensed by the State of Illinois and under the guidance of the United Methodist Health and Welfare Ministries of the Northern Illinois Conference, the agency provides clinical and case management services to "at risk" youth, seniors and families to achieve their true potential.

MYSI currently offers shelter care for young men, independent living services for young men and women who are transitioning from foster care, transitional living housing for young adult females and males. We also offer community outreach services not limited to Teen Parenting Prevention, Primary Educational services, Emergency Food Boxes, Emergency Utility and CEDA services.
